Features, why a-blogsite?

This page gives you the main features of a-blogsite. The blog can have a custom design with custom code, custom images and custom files. The design of the blog is responsive and works great on different devices with different screen resolutions. A blogsite makes it possible for you to translate your posts into other languages, it is search engine optimized and you can have ads on your website. Users can rate and comment on your posts and you can add links to other websites.


You can create multiple themes in a-blogsite, every theme has a set of standard templates that are added to a newly created theme. Standard templates that are added to a-blogsite in an update will be added automatically to all of your themes in the upgrade process. You can add new template files in a theme, you can export all the template files from a theme to a zip-file and you can import templates to a theme from a zip-file.

When you edit a standard template, you can see the content of the master file at the right side and you are able to merge code from the master file to your custom template. Updates to a-blogsite may change the code in master files but you can always compare your custom templates to master files and implement master file changes with a simple click on a button in the center panel of the editing window.

You can delete templates in a theme but you should make sure that the template that you want to delete not is referenced from other templates. You can upload custom images and custom files that you can use in your templates. Custom files could for example be css-files or js-files. You will be able to see the folder paths to custom images and custom files in the backend interface of a-blogsite.


You can reach international markets with a-blogsite. You can have multiple domains in a-blogsite, every domain has its own domain name and you can set the frontend language, the backend language and the theme to use for each domain. All of the entites in a-blogsite can be translated into different languages.


You can add many different type of posts in a-blogsite. A post can include text, html, css and javascript. You can add a html-tag by a click on a button and easily add media files like images, audio and videos to a post. Posts and media files can be previewed before you save them.

Users can create comments about your posts and also rate your posts. You can get statistics about the total number of pageviews for each post and the average rating for each post. Posts can be added by administrators that have the Administrator or the Author role, an administrator with a Author role are only allowed to edit his own posts.


The blog is built with a responsive design pattern, it will automatically detect if the visitor uses a computer or a mobile device and set the default layout accordingly. The user can also change the layout to use with a simple click on a link. There is two different layouts for the frontend of the blog and the mobile layout adjusts to the screen size.


The blog is designed to be search engine optimized. You can set meta tags including the robots tag for categories, posts and static pages. Domains can be redirected from HTTP to HTTPS and from a non-WWW address to a WWW address, you can also set a domain to be excluded from search engines. You can create a sitemap for each of your domains.


The blog has social integrations with Facebook, Google, PinIt, Twitter and LinkedIn. Visitors can like your pages, tweet about your pages and pin your images. Users can also sign in with there facebook account or there google account. Users can create comments for your posts and set one rating for every post.

You can make money on your blog by adding ads on different slots. The ad-slots that are available depends on the design of the blog, the theme that is used for the domain. You can add Adsense ads, affiliate ads or your own ads, the content for ads are added as text, html and javascript.

You can connect each domain to a Google Analytics account and you can see total pageviews for categories and posts in the backend interface of the blog.


Categories can be nested in an unlimited number of levels and a-blogsite can handle categories that includes both categories and posts. You can set the meta robot tag for categories to be able to exclude categories from search engines. Categories can be sorted on different fields in ascending or descending order and the visitor can set the page size.

You can add static pages that are connected to a function in the blog or standalone pages that can be reached from the menu. The start page and error pages can have a connection to a static page. Static pages can be added to provide information like this page.

You can also add weblinks in a-blogsite. A weblink can be a link to an external website like google or facebook, it can also be a link to an internal webpage. Weblinks is visible in the menu for the blog.


The blog has a rich backend interface where you can manage your website. You can add, update and delete administrators for the blog. You can select one of five administrator roles for an administrator, a role decides what the administrator is allowed to do in the backend interface.

An administrator with a User role can not sign in to the backend interface and are only allowed to create comments and set ratings for posts. You can also add administrators with API roles, an administrator with a API role are only allowed to connect to the Web API (Not developed yet) and can not sign-in to the backend interface of the blog.
